Our summer school is designed to meet the needs and schedules of local or intensive out of state students and their families. Attend for as little as one week and see measurable gains in your child's performace.

Who: Phono-Graphix program developers Carmen and Geoffrey McGuinness will be working with 6-9 year olds with delays in language, reading, or number concepts. Children with sensory integrative delays, and children with attentional challenges will also benefit.

What: Eight children and two teachers focusing on Reading, Comprehension, Handwriting, Hierarchy of Numbers, Arithmetic Functions, and an adaptation of the Montessori Cultural and Physical Geography lessons in The Needs of Man, specicially intended to invoke a sense of society and connectedness. The program includes pull out one-on-one instruction one hour daily in our wheel of services for Sound to Symbol to Meaning and/or Number Concepts, Skills & Facts.

Where: Praxis Education Center, a division of Read America, Inc., in Longwood, Florida. The nearest and most affordable hotel is LaQuinta Inn.

When: June 10th through the summer. Classes are held from 9:00 to 1:00 M-F.

Cost: $590 per week of attendance, includes school plus five hours of one-on-one instruction in Sound to Symbol to Meaning (a Phono-Graphix and Langauge Wise program) and/or Number Concepts, Skills & Facts (a Montessori math program designed by Phono-Graphix and Language Wise developer and Montessori veteran Carmen McGuinness).
