Geoffrey and Carmen McGuinness are the founders and owners of Read America, Inc. They are the innovators of the theories underlying Phono-Graphix, developers of Language Wise and authors of Reading Reflex and How to Raise Your Child's Verbal Intelligence.

They live in Orlando, Florida with their daughters, Amanda, Lily, and Rose, and spend much of their time in London, England where Geoffrey was born and raised.
