HOST A TRAINING

In addition to the program developers, the following licensed trainers will provide onsite training for your school or organization.

Erin Duncan, one of Read America's most experienced independent trainers, will travel to your site to train your group of six or more. She will give your staff her expert guidance with personal experience, demonstrations and hands-on practice! Erin has conducted on-site Phono-Graphix trainings across the nation, from California to New Mexico to Florida. She has trained: entire elementary and middle school staffs, including a public charter school integrating Waldorf education; over 200 intervention teachers under a Reading First grant for Houston ISD, one of the largest districts in the United States; and teachers working with inmates in the California State Corrections System. Since 1998, she has trained hundreds of classroom and clinical instructors, aides, speech-language pathologists, volunteers and parents in Phono-Graphix. Benefit from Erin’s extensive experience with diverse students including special needs and ESL.

Carolyn Johnson-Gutter, a Master Trainer and California licensed teacher, has been providing onsite Phono-Graphix certification training for hundreds of teachers, tutors, aides, and other professionals in institutions around the United States for the last 10 years, including Houston Independent School District's Reading First program and the California State Corrections System. With over 40 years of teaching experience in a variety of settings, she presently divides her time between teaching students to read and spell using Phono-Graphix in her private practice and helping teachers learn to use the method. Carolyn is also licensed to provide training in Read America's newest program Sound to Symbol To Meaning released in October of 2007. This is a balanced literacy approach to teaching reading using Read America's highly successful reading/spelling program, Phono-Graphix, combined with their innovative comprehension program, LanguageWise. Contact Carolyn to arrange a phone consultation to discuss how to meet your group's unique needs.
